Living on the Northcoast of California definitely has it's pros and cons. Mostly I find myself aching for sun and that feeling of summer in the air and the smell of foliage baking. I read blogs of folks living in places with "real" summer and long for the days of my youth when I lived in NY where we had balmy nights, fireflies and tank tops. On the other hand, I don't miss being so hot as to not function. The landscape is stunning and the trees smell amazing. We have coastline like you wouldn't believe and the local park is a redwood forest. I really do love this place.
